We hope you all enjoy some time with family and friends. We have a lot of information for this post. We'll go over more details for SUU camp again on the next two Sunday posts, but please note we are trying to get final commitments.


SUU CAMP 
  • Looking for final commitments. Click THIS LINK to see the list that has committed to going to camp. If your players name is NOT on the list and they are planning on going, please contact one of the coaches or a team mom immediately to add them to the list to get their fees paid. OR if they had committed but need to cancel, also contact one of those individuals for the same reason. 
  • Fees for the came must be paid BY JULY 7th. The fees are up on myDSD. Fundraiser credits will be applied by this Wednesday. 
  • Waivers are coming home on Wednesday July 5th, but are also attached HERE if you want to get a jump on filling it out. You can email it back to hilaryvenable@gmail.com by July 7th. 
  • Here is a link to a Camp Brochure that includes a simple itinerary, packing list, meal and lodging info :  

**CREDIT FOR FEES ADDED TO MY DSD** UPDATES
  • Card Sales went well this year. The players ended up earning $17 per card instead of the $15 that we originally planned
  • You will see all credits added to their myDSD fees by Wednesday. They will be credited in this order:
    • SUU Camp(if attending)
    • Summer Conditioning
    • Participation Fees
    • Player Pack 
  • CAMP fees are due by July 7th
GOLF SCRAMBLE
  • If you are still wanting to cover fees, you have time to hit more banner sales and hole sponsors for the golf scramble. 
  • Banner and hole sponsor deadlines are July 8th

JULY 25TH IS A BIG DAY
  • July 25th is the day Bountiful is offering free physicals for athletes. This is at 5pm. All the information is listed on the BHS Redhawks Website
  • Now is a good time to go on to REGISTER MY ATHLETE and get that taken care of. That will need to be done by July 25th as well(this has to be done each year for each sport you participate in)
  • All fees are due on July 25th

THANK YOU for the donations of items and time during the tournaments this weekend. The boys were VERY GRATEFUL for those snacks after competing in the hot sun. 

We continue to lift at the high school and condition  at Oak Hills during this second week of Redhawk Football.

MONDAY - equipment handout with a special lifting schedule listed below:

  • 6:30 -7:30 Juniors lift/Seniors equipment 
  • 7:30-8:30 Seniors lift/Juniors equipment
  • 8:30-9:30 Fresh lift/Soph equipment
  • 9:30-10:30 Soph lift/Fresh equipment

FRIDAY- 7v7/Lineman @ 1350 N 400 W, Centerville/Viewmont High School

Keep actively fundraising with banner and golf scramble sales. If you have questions, please reach out to Amber, Shelby, or Hilary. When you are talking to businesses, remember to ask them if they have any donations they'd like to make for the raffle as well. 


7 V 7 and LINEMAN CHALLENGE DETAILS 

  • Everyone meet at 7:15am
    • 7v7 Teams meet at 1350 N 400 W, Centerville, UT 84014(a community park)
    • Lineman meet at Viewmont High School
  • Wear 
    • Red and White T-shirt(*both) or last years 7's basketball jersey
    • Black Shorts
  • What to Bring
    • Cleats
    • Gloves(optional)
    • Gallon Water Jug - bring enough water to sustain you all day
    • Any dietary necessities, including lunch or snacks (the team will provide something equivalent to Gatorade, granola bars, banana and/or orange slices, not to sustain the boys all day)
  • Play starts at 8am and will be completed by 12:30

Parents are welcome to attend the tournament. Bring a lawn chair and whatever else you need to be comfortable. Typically the boys will travel around a large field so there will be movement each game. the Lineman challenge is typically setup in one section of the field and boys will move between stations.

    • We will post practice schedules and other important dates in advance. But the most important going into the end of the school year are:
    • PLAYER PACK and CAMP SIGN UP - Due NOW

    • PRACTICE OFFICIALLY STARTS - JUNE 5th
  • FEES and DONATIONS
    • The mandatory fees and suggested donation amounts are listed on the FEES AND VOLUNTEER link on the right side of the blog, or find it HERE.
  • FUNDRAISING OPTIONS
    • Card sales, golf scramble, business advertisement. All of these efforts give a portion back to the player to go towards their fees. Check the fee information page for the break down. 
    • Card Sales will start early June.
    • Golf Scramble registrations and business advertisements can be sold now.
  • GOLF SCRAMBLE
    • The Golf Scramble is a huge success with the community and a great fundraiser for the program. It also is a great way for the players to earn funds towards their fees. Take a look at the registration form POSTED HERE or in the sidebar of the blog.
  • VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
    • There are multiple opportunities to get involved, either sporadically, or planned. On the FEE and VOLUNTEER page, we've listed most opportunities that can be planned for. Let one of the team moms know if there are specific dates you know you can sign up to help.
    • There will be sign up geniuses through the season to fill in the gaps.
