July 14-July 20 Weekly Schedule

 

We want to start by thanking everyone that helped contribute to the golf scramble this week. We had a great invite and couldn’t do it without all the efforts of parents, players, and coaches. 


Now we turn our focus to SUU Summer Camp. 


Weekly Schedule:


MONDAY - Leave for Camp at 7:30 AM, arrive to school at 7:15 AM


**** SUU CAMP PACKING LIST ****

  • PERSONAL WATER JUG! (1 gallon jug is recommended for every player, it is going to be a hot week, and everyone needs to stay hydrated)
  • ALL required football equipment, practice pants and knee pads. MOUTH GUARD and GIRDLE. Practice jerseys will be handed out to everyone before we load the bus. Guardian caps are optional (new ones still haven't arrived) 

*Any Equipment Issue can get done before we leave from 7:00 to 7:15 AM. 

  • Workout clothes - 4 DAYS
  • Toiletries - soap, shampoo, DEODORANT (any personal medications)
  • Sun Screen (UV index is at 12 all week)
  • Extra pillow and blanket for added comfort
  • Extra spending money for: Monday for lunch during the drive down, added snacks to supplement throughout the week -if so desired.

IMPORTANT INFO


Fee’s: Fees are still being updated and should be completed this week. We do want SUU to be paid for before we leave tomorrow but understand some people might be waiting for fundraising credits. To keep it simple we will say this. If you sold over 22 cards, then SUU will be covered with fundraising, so you do not need to pay before tomorrow. If you did not sell 22 cards, then you should pay for all of SUU tonight. If you have already paid for SUU and sold cards, then the other fees will be credited. Other fees are due July 28th, so we will have time to work it all out. If you have questions about fees, you can reach out directly to Kim Austin (kiaustin@dsdmail.net or 801-402-3900)


Register My Athlete: as soon as we return from camp every player should begin working on Register My Athlete. More info will be shared once we get home.

MONDAY - Weights & Helmet Practice 


Everyone 7:00 to 9:30 AM (rotation by position: Skill [QB/WR/DB] & Mids [RB/TE/LB] & Bigs [OL/DL])

Skill Field Practice 7 to 8:15 AM

Mids/Bigs Weights 7 to 8:15 AM

*Any Equipment Issue or anyone who needs a helmet can get one before practice from 6:30 to 6:45 AM. Other equipment will be issued after practice at 9:30 AM

FRIDAY - Golf Scramble *Varsity only*


Arrive at golf course at 7:00 AM. We will talk more about expected behavior while at the golf course this week, but it would be a good idea to look into golf etiquette on your own. Event will finish around 12:30 PM. 


**Park on Bountiful Boulevard NOT in the golf course parking lot. Every player will bring their own chair and a large water jug. Wear red jersey (issued on Wednesday) and black shorts.


We still need some parents to help with our golf scramble, as well as any equipment that we may need to borrow all happening on Friday morning.

Fee’s Updated

After meeting with our AD and Admin we have adjusted fees. The final cost is about the same but how they are listed has changed. Fees will start to be added over the next two weeks. Any fundraiser credit will be credited but give some time for that process to happen. Fees are due July 28th, except for SUU camp which is due by July 11th. 


Physical Exams

We have the opportunity to work with Mountain West Orthopedics to have our free physical day on Wednesday, July 30 at 6 PM on the fifth floor of the Renaissance town building in Bountiful. More information to come as we get closer but all players will have the opportunity to get their physical exam on this day for free. 


Golf Scramble Reminder

We need help down the stretch getting golfers to play, sponsorships, and prize items. Remember players get $100 towards fees for any sponsorship brought in except the White Sponsorship (just a foursome). For any prize items brought in by a player, they receive a ticket to a player prize drawing. Whatever you can do to help will be greatly appreciated.
